for Individuals and Families
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Board Approved Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 7 years experience in the mental health field. I hold a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and a Masters of Arts in Professional Counseling from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University). In my graduate program, I specialized in Marriage and Family Therapy and studied Play Therapy and Sand Tray Therapy.
I am a professional member of the American Counseling Association and member of the local Hill Country Chapter of the Texas Association for Play Therapy .
My professional experience includes group and individual therapy from local agencies, pain management therapy, and drug and alcohol counseling. I have worked in the school setting with kinder through seniors in high school.
I have worked with individual and groups on issues such as family issues, divorce, depression, anxiety, bi-polar disorder, anger management, eating disorders, social skills and grief and loss.
I am a native Austinite. I enjoy cooking and chasing my toddler son around!
Whatever you're going through-divorce, depression, behavioral issues with your children - I am here to show you that there's hope and things don't have to continue the way they are going. I can help with change and help you develop techniques for more balanced living.
When your son or daughter is in therapy, they can expect to receive my undivided adult attention and unconditional positive regard. Therapy can provide a safe place to express uncomfortable feelings, and a neutral adult that the child can talk to about otherwise charged topics. I can offer insights and techniques for change.
Please call or e-mail me for more information about my services, including in home parent coaching, play therapy and any individual needs you may be dealing with.
